From Rescue Dog to Super Dog

This amazing new program Rescue Dog to Super Dog is showing from 8th June Channel 4, 8pm for 3 episodes

The show Rescue Dog to Super Dog is based around a fantastic concept which helps both people and dogs.

We’re taking dogs out of a rescue centre – and probably dogs that are going to find it harder to be re-homed, because they’re high energy dogs. And then we’re pairing them up with people who have some kind of vulnerability or disability, and seeing if we can make a partnership out of the two of them. So they can help each other.

More than 100,000 dogs are abandoned each year, leaving legions of pooches at rescue centres. Luckily, help is at hand as a new initiative aims to retrain rescue dogs as companions for people with disabilities.

Can it really be a case of Rescue Dog To Super Dog

Six rescue centre dogs are paired with six people with disabilities. Can two of the country’s top trainers turn the dogs into disability pets in just 12 weeks?
